The "Kurashiki Astronomical Observatory," Japan's first private observatory, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026.
The book cafe located on its grounds can be used as a lounge during the night.
You can enjoy local sake, or immerse yourself in the space surrounded by old astronomy-related books and feel the slow passage of time.
If the weather is favorable, you may even be able to observe the starry sky through the observatory's telescope.
